Worcester City have pulled out of their planned move to Nunnery Way - a move that looks set to save them from potential closure.
The Conference North club, who recently left their old home of 108 years, St George's Lane, have provisionally agreed terms to be released from their contract with building firm St. Modwen.
They were due to give £1.3m to St. Modwen for the project at Nunnery Way, but the club would then have been responsible for the costs of the new stadium, which could have forced potential closure.
City are due to start next at Aggborough, home of Kidderminster Harriers, and they are yet to comment on where a new ground could potentially be constructed in the future.
