Tottenham Hotspur's wait to begin work on their new stadium will continue after their High Court hearing was adjourned until February.
Archway Sheet Metal Works Ltd, who own the last remaining land that Spurs need to begin construction, challenged the compulsory purchase order given to the club last summer and continue to fight their cause.
The London club were hopeful of moving into their new home in time for the start of the 2017/18 season, but their continuing legal battle with Archway is set to affect those plans.
Spurs are already facing at least one season away from White Hart Lane while work is carried out, with stadiummk and Wembley having been touted as possible temporary homes.
A Tottenham club statement read: “Due to the fact that not all parties were ready to proceed, the court has adjourned the hearing for a short time and this will now be heard on the 17th and 18th February 2015.”
