Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Populous as the architects to come up with designs for their stadium.
The Premier League club had been working on a design for a new stadium with London-based KSS.
But it has been reported that chairman Daniel Levy is keen to assess fresh ideas, and thus has appointed Populous, who were the brains behind the design of the Olympic Stadium and the new Wembley as well as the Emirates Stadium, home of Spurs’ fierce rivals Arsenal.
Further delays are now expected, with club officials not revealing when work on the stadium will commence.
A club spokesman said: “We have approached Populous with regards to an internal fit out of the stadium. This will have no impact on timings.”
Tottenham have been tenants at their current home, White Hart Lane, since 1899.
