SEPTEMBER INQUIRY PLANNED FOR BRENTFORD’S LIONEL ROAD STADIUM

A public inquiry has been scheduled for September as Brentford continue their quest for a new stadium at Lionel Road.

The football club’s plans for a new 20,000-seat arena, which would be built alongside over 900 homes, have already been approved, howebver the owner of the last piece of land needed for the ground has objected to a compulsory purchase order.

The inquiry over First Industrial’s appeal is now expected in September, with eight days set aside for the case.

Brentford have been based at Griffin Park since 1904.
