The design details of Perth’s new 60,000-capacity stadium have been revealed.

Approximately 85 per cent of the seats will be undercover in the venue, which will include LED lights to display home team colours by night.

All seats will have cup holders, and there will be improved toilet access and refreshment facilities compared to the current options at Patersons Stadium.

Expected to cost A$820 million to build, contractual negotiations between the state government and WESTADIUM have been completed and a contract is due to be signed in the coming days.

Around 60 per cent of the project will be paid for up front, with the rest financed over 25 years.

It is hoped that the project will be complete in time for the 2018 AFL season.
