San Francisco 49ers' new Levi's Stadium will be opened with an exhibition game against the Denver Broncos.
The two National Football League teams will meet at the 68,500-seater stadium between August 14-18th with the exact date yet to be finalised.
The 49ers will then host the San Diego Chargers on Sunday 24th August.
The new venue is in the final stages of construction in anticpation for the start of the 2-14 NFL season, with the estimated cost expected to finish at approximately $1.3 billion.
Candlestick Park has been home to the 49ers since 1971 until they played their last match at the venue on Monday 23rd December in a 34-24 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
