NUNEATON TO RENAME GROUND THE JAMES PARNELL STADIUM

Nuneaton Town have renamed their stadium the James Parnell Stadium for the 2014/15 season after a well-subscribed golden ticket draw to win the naming rights for the Liberty Way venue.

The winning ticket was purchased by David Parnell, who immediately announced that the stadium name would be given to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation for children coping with type 1 diabetes.

The charity is close to the Parnell family as James Parnell, the son of David, is living with the incurable condition.

Nuneaton Chief Executive Ian Neale said:" "We are really happy that the naming rights have been won and donated to such a fantastic charity. We are really excited to be able to raise awareness of this charity and look forward to working with them in the season ahead."
