There is a fear the Carolina Panthers could move if they do not get financial help to upgrade the Bank of America Stadium, said Thom Tillis of the North Carolina House.
Thillis made the remarks following questions about talks between the state and team officials regarding the proposed multi-million dollar revamp.
Panthers' owner Jerry Richardson and team President Danny Morrison have met with both Tillis and new Gov. Pat McCrory as the NFL franchise want to renovate the outdoor 74,000-seat stadium in Charlotte.
The Panthers are seeking $125 million from the city and another $62.5 million from the state to help offset the proposed $250million project.
Tillis says the Panthers are considering relocating if they don't get help.
