MINNESOTA VIKINGS STADIUM REACHES HALFWAY STAGE

Minnesota Vikings’s new stadium is now halfway to completion, meaning it remains on time for an opening date of July 2016.

The project also remains on budget at $1.06 billion, with about $400 million of work having been installed on the project so far.

The National Football League franchise used to play their homes games at The Metrodome, which was demolished in February 2014.

Dave Mansell, leading the project for construction company Mortenson, said: “We’ve now got the summer ahead of us, and by next winter we need to have the building enclosed, the roof on and be able to heat the building.”
