ENGLAND REJECT WALES' REQUEST TO KEEP MILLENNIUM STADIUM ROOF SHUT

England have rejected Wales' request to keep the Millennium Stadium roof closed for Friday's Six Nations opener in Cardiff.

The stadium policy states that both sides must agree to have the roof shut, and England coach Stuart Lancaster has dismissed calls from the Welsh camp for it to be left open.

Last time England faced Wales at the Millennium they were beaten 30-3, with Lancaster admitting the intense atmosphere got to his players.

This time around, England have been training with intense crowd noise on loudspeakers, and the decision to open the roof will undoubtedly reduce atmosphere.
