DUCKS ON VERGE OF LOSING SELLOUT STREAK

The Oregon Ducks' home opener is in danger of marking the end of their 89-game sellout streak at Autzen Stadium.

Oregon, ranked third in the preseason USA Today coaches’ poll, have sold out every home game at the venue since September 1999 but 3,5000 tickets are yet to be sold for their fixture against Nicholls on August 31.

Only Nebraska (325), Notre Dame (231) and Virginia Tech (99) have longer confirmed active sellout streaks.

University of Oregon senior associate athletic director Craig Pintens said: “The streak is something our fans take pride in, and it would be a shame to see it end at the start of a new chapter in Oregon football history."
