David Beckham has revealed design plans for his new Major League Soccer franchise's stadium in Miami.
The plan details an open-aired, 25,000-seater stadium in what he hopes will eventually be its home at the Port of Miami.
With views of downtown Miami's skyline and a scenic view of the bay, the arena will also have restaurants and a nightclub in addition to an adjacent complex that would include a commercial development and a public plaza.
Speaking at a news conference in downtown Miami on Monday, the former Manchester United star said: "When people think of Miami, they immediately think about being near or on the water.
“I asked my team to develop ideas for a stadium that embraces the best of the destination.
“Even though we are in the early stages of building the franchise, I believe we have a vision that not only Miami would be proud of, but one that will resonate around the world.”
