Royal Caribbean Cruises has announced it is in opposition to David Beckham's plans of building a soccer stadium in PortMiami.
The company this week said it had traffic concerns and its own plans to develop on the same 12-acre site.
Rob Zeiger, vice president and chief communications offier, told The Miami Herald that they had "deep reservations" over the port stadium.
Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez said any stadium project would have to include a public space, roads and other amenities.
The area is one of six potential venues Beckham and his investors are eyeing having announced last month that he would be buying an MLS team and plans to locate it in Miami.
Should the venue be chosen as the site for a Miami-based soccer team, Royal Caribbean would have to move an exisiting parking lot, daycare centre and employee gym.
