CAPE TOWN STADIUM STICKS TO FIFA REGULATIONS

It may be three years since the FIFA World Cup took place in South Africa, but a Cape Town Stadium is still implementing regulations enforced for the tournament.

The move by the stadium, which hosted eight games during the World Cup, has led to traffic chaos throughout the city.

Regulations state that only 35% of the venues' car parking spaces may be used during major events.

Stadium officials said: “While there are no acts governing this practice, the city has adopted this as a standard practice during major events at the stadium due to the successes attained during the World Cup.”
