Al Ahly's attempt to have the CAF Champions League Final played at the Cairo International Stadium has failed.
The Egyptian outfit failed to convince Egypt's authorities to move the match to the 70,000 venue and the crucial second leg will be played at the Arab Contractors Stadium.
Only 30,000 people can be housed in that stadium, and that will decrease the amount of support the club could get for the vital match.
“All our attempts to change the match venue failed, so we had to inform CAF that Arab Contractors will host the match,” Ahly's General Manager Hassan Massoud said.
