VASIL LEVSKI STADIUM TO HOST WALES

The Bulgarian Football Union has confirmed the venue for the match with Wales on Tuesday 11 October 2011.

Vasil Levski Stadium in Sofia will host the Group G qualifying match for the 2012 UEFA European Championships which will held in Poland and Ukraine next summer. It will be the third time that the Wales National Team has played at this stadium.

Previous meetings in 1983 (lost 1-0) and 1995 (lost 3-1). The last time that Wales played in Bulgaria was a friendly match in 2007 in Burgas. The Vasil Levski Stadium originally opened in 1953 but now holds 43,600 spectators after renovations in 2002.
