The soft opening at the Red Bull Arena has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions.
The brand new 25,189-seater cost $200 million to build was set to host the New York Red Bulls Under-18 Academy team and the United States Under-17 Men's National Team.
The match was cancelled due to heavy rainfall and extremely high winds but will be rescheduled at a later date.
Red Bull New York Managing Director Erik Stover said: "We are disappointed to postpone our Soft Opening event.
"However, with the severe weather conditions we are experiencing, our priority needs to be on the health of the players and the safety of our spectators."
The Red Bulls will play their final exhibition of the pre-season, when they host legendary Brazilian club, Santos FC, on 20th March at their new home in Harrison, New Jersey.
New York kicks off its 2010 Major League Soccer season at Red Bull Arena a week later, when it they host the Chicago Fire.
