NG Bailey has been awarded a £12million building contract for the new stadium for Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club.

The company will provide mechanical, electrical and information communication technology services for the development of the new state-of-the-art stadium.

NG Bailey’s acting chief executive, Chris Newton, said: “We are delighted to have been selected for the Brighton and Hove Albion development.

“We have solid credentials in this area, having delivered work at, amongst others, Cardiff City, Stadium:mk, Liberty and Old Trafford stadia.  We are proud to have created many outstanding sporting environments in the past and look forward to bringing the skills and expertise we have gained to this development.”

The stadium will seat 22,500 fans and is being built adjacent to the existing University of Brighton campus.  The complex includes a Club shop, corporate hospitality, conference facilities and also an education space for the club’s education partners.

NG Bailey will work in partnership with main contractor Buckingham Group, to deliver the new stadium by the end of May 2011.
