Everton Football Club and Liverpool City Council are again locked in talks over a possible location for the proposed new build of a stadium for the Premier League club.
An application for a 50,000 all-seater stadium in Kirkby, Merseyside was refused by the city council last year but now officials at Everton are confident a new proposal will be agreed.
The recent negotiations between the two parties were said to be 'positive' according to a joint statement.
Currently Goodison Park has a capacity of 40,100 which the club states to be 'a huge financial disadvantage to overcome'.
The need to relocate and to build a new larger stadium is in the forefront of the club's ambitions to try and break into the top four of the Premier League.
