Officials and organisers for the 2010 African Nations Cup in Angola have pledged that the four new stadium builds will be ready for the tournament when it commences in January 2010.
Antonio Mangueira, Organising Committee Chief has has guaranteed that the stadiums for the AFCON will be ready in time:
"All the speculation you are hearing that the stadiums will not be ready, you should replace with information from the government that the stadiums will be ready,” Mangueira explained.
"Maybe you'll not see trees or grass outside and it will not be ideal in terms of a nice view outside, but the football functions are there and the stadium will be ready."
Angola have spent almost $1 billion on the tournament which has seen the country improve and renovate the war-torn infrastructure.
